We've had an incredible journey together over the past few months, filled with unforgettable events that brought our community closer and celebrated our shared love for the finer things in life. Today, we’re excited to take a trip down memory lane, share some highlights from our recent events, and announce two exciting upcoming festivals you won’t want to miss!
A Look Back at Our Recent 'High Notes' Events
During the late half of 2023, we introduce 'High Notes'. The newest series in the Fine Wine universe, which spotlights handcrafted wine cocktails and a vibrant rooftop atmosphere for the cities’ tastemakers creating memorable experiences across several vibrant locations:
Austin, TX: As one of the official event partners for the AFROTECH 2023 Conference, we collaborated with Taylor Port on a memorable night. Guests enjoyed the enchanting melodies of R&B while savoring the rich, layered flavors of Taylor Port Black crafted by Mrs. Deniseea Head. The event perfectly blended sophistication and soulful music, creating an atmosphere that left a lasting impression on several professionals who attended.
Brooklyn, NY: Hosted at one of Brooklyn’s premier rooftops, our New York City members were pleased to experience the vibes curated by DJ Canal and friends. Continuing our partnership with the Taylor Port, the event featured complimentary wine-inspired cocktails and a mixologist Q&A hosted by Swaggie Sie.
Washington, D.C.: In the nation's capital, our 'High Notes' event brought together a sophisticated crowd who were welcomed to a 360-degree view of the Potomac and the Washington skyline at 12 Stories. With our first collaboration with CÎROC Limonata, attendees received access to sample the latest citrus-flavored vodka paired with handcrafted cocktails from the DMV's best mixologist.
Atlanta, GA: After two long years, Fine Wine returned to Atlanta, GA, setting the tone for Summer 2024. The evening was filled with lively music and a dynamic crowd, making it unforgettable. The partnership with Taylor Port and CÎROC Limonata ensured that every sip and note was an experience to savor. With the expansion of our cocktail menu, attendees had the opportunity to sample several tasty options, from Fine Wine Port to Limonata Lime Drop.
Los Angeles, CA: Continuing to celebrate black excellence, FWS traveled out west during BET Awards Weekend to showcase High Notes amongst hundreds of music lovers and socialites. With a stunning view overlooking Peacock Theater in Downtown LA. The atmosphere was heightened with music by Earry Hill, Ruff, Yannick Jones and Canal host Charles Kuykendoll. Taylor Port provided the crowd with collectible items and delicious wine-inspired cocktails.
What Is Next On The Journey?
With the return of "Festival Season," we are thrilled to announce two upcoming festivals that promise to be the highlights of the year:
1. Citi Field, New York, NY – September 14th, 2024: Our first festival for 2024 will take place at Citi Field, the iconic home of Major League Baseball’s New York Mets. This historic venue is located in the heart of Queens, New York. Opened in 2009, Citi Field has hosted numerous unforgettable sporting events, concerts, and festivals. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to enjoy fine wine and gourmet food in a setting that combines the excitement of a major league stadium with the charm of a local community hub.
2. Home Depot Backyard, Atlanta, GA – September 28th, 2024: Our second festival will occur at Atlanta's Award-Winning Home Depot Backyard. This 11-acre green space is located across from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Home Depot Backyard has become a staple in Atlanta’s vibrant cultural scene, providing a versatile and dynamic environment perfect for large-scale events. As a multi-functional space that has hosted everything from Atlanta Falcons / SEC tailgates to significant concerts. Attendees will be treated to a celebration of an assortment of wine, live music from Atlanta’s best DJs, and mouthwatering food options.
